Its journey began in 2008 with Medica North Bengal Clinic (MSNBC) in Siliguri.

In February 2022, Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata, installed the 4th Gen Da Vinci Robot, becoming the first official Training Center for Robotic Surgery in Eastern India.
It received the "Green Operation Theatre Certificate" from Bureau Veritas Certification (India) Private Ltd, making it the first hospital in Eastern India with a Certified Green Operation Theatre.
The facility was awarded the Times Bengal Award in 2023.
The Medical Dialysis Center at Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Kolkata, was accredited in 2020 under the Dialysis Centres (DC) Accreditation Programme.
It was named "Healthcare CSR of the Year 2017" and received "Special Jury Recognition" at the FICCI Health Excellence Award 2014 for its CSR initiative "KARMA."
It won the AHPI award in 2017 for excellence in community engagement.
The unit was recognised as the "Best Dialysis Service Provider" by the National Awards for Excellence in Healthcare.
Its "KARMA" initiative received the "SAFETY AWARD" by MERCEDES.
